Choosing a mental health service provider can be a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be. Browse the frequently asked questions below to learn more about my practice and services.

  • Yes - I am on multiple insurance panels. Sessions are $125 for individuals looking to pay out of pocket. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I also offer affordable sliding scale rates as needed. Please contact me if you would like more information on sliding scale rates.

  • Online therapy provides you with the opportunity to receive services remotely in the comfort and privacy of your own space, saving you from travel time, expenses, and other complications. My telehealth platform ensures that your privacy and confidentiality are protected in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). I utilize encrypted video conferencing technology and secure communication channels to safeguard your personal information throughout your sessions.

  • Standard sessions are typically 45-60 minutes long and may occur weekly or bi-weekly. The duration of therapy varies depending on your unique needs and goals. Some individuals find relief and achieve their objectives in a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll discuss your progress regularly and adjust the duration of therapy accordingly.

  • Life can be unpredictable, and there may be times when you need to cancel or reschedule your session. I ask that you please provide 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. This allows me time to fill your spot with someone else who may be in need of services. Late cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee. Missed sessions or "no-shows" will be charged the full session rate.

  • I integrate various therapeutic methods into my practice, drawing from a diverse toolkit that includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused techniques, and mindfulness-based strategies. This allows me to tailor our sessions to best meet your unique needs and goals. These evidence-based techniques are proven to help clients achieve their therapy goals faster and more effectively. I aim to meet you where you are, challenge you when needed, and help you to make positive changes for a healthier life.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy designed to help you work through challenging or traumatic memories in a safe and supportive environment. During our sessions, we’ll talk about your experiences while using guided eye movements or other techniques which can help rewire how your brain processes memories. Many people find that this technique helps reduce the pain and distress associated with past events, allowing them to feel more at peace and in control to move forward with life.

  • Yes! Confidentiality definitely applies to therapy sessions with minors. There are legal and ethical considerations regarding confidentiality when it comes to minors, particularly if there are concerns about a child's safety or well-being. I will discuss confidentiality and any limitations with you and your child at the beginning of therapy. Building trust with minors is essential for the therapeutic process to be effective, therefore I believe in respecting minors privacy and involve them in decisions about their treatment and the extent of parent involvement. This approach empowers minors to take an active role in the therapeutic process.
